I've received my Winter Exchange from Helen... a pure delight! She knows exactly what I like and she stitched for me something veeeeeery very special, assembled with her wonderful fine taste and elegance, paying so much attention to details. She is a perfect exchange partner and I've been very lucky to had so many wonderful pieces from her!!Here what she sent this time...
Ho ricevuto il mio Scambio Invernale dalla dolce Helen ... puro piacere!!! Lei sa esattamente cosa a me piace e così ha ricamato per me qualcosina di davvero speciale, assemblata poi con il suo finissimo gusto, prestando attenzione ad ogni dettaglio. E' una partner perfetta per gli scambi e sono stata davvero fortunata a ricevere tutte le sue meravigliose creazioni!
Ecco cosa mi ha mandato questa volta...
It's a very lovely tin box! She made it with a cigar box, stitching a so cute Mary Garry skater and then attaching (not with glue, but sewing it to the lid) a nice lace all around! The details are so well made... felt and ribbon all around, to cover perfectly the tin box. And inside...
E' una bellissima scatola! Helen l'ha realizzata con una scatola per sigari, ricamando una pattinatrice di Mary Garry e poi aCeltro e nastro tutto attorno la scatola per coprirla interamente. E all'interno...
A nice finishing inside too, with once again felt, a nice checkered fabric and pins parking pages :D ... Isn't beautiful????? All with the colors I love... blue. And there is more: look what she sent with the box!
Rifinita benissimo anche all'interno, con ancora feltro, un bellissima stoffina ascacchi e un puntaspilli... Non è carinissima??? Tutta con i colori che mi piacciono... blu! E c'è altro: guardate cosa ha mandato con la scatola!
Nastrini di ogni tipo... bellissimi anelli a cuore in madreperla... un sacchetto profumato.... tante stoffettine da ricamare (che in foto però sono venute male...) e un notepad.... tutto azzurro-blu!!! Helen... GRAZIE!!!!
Many wonderful ribbons (I LOVE them!!!)... so cute heart shaped rings.... a perfumed sachet.... many cuts of fabrics (that my camera didn't recognized!..) and a notepad.. all lt. blue!!!!! HELEN, THANKS!!!!!!!

La dolce Su ha ricevuto il suo scambio d'inverno!! E' stata dura trovare qualcosa di speciale e alla fine ho scelto un disegno di LHN apparso sull'ultimo
numero di Just Cross Stitch Ornaments, facendone un flatfold porta ruota per gli spilli! Praticamente una stazione di lavoro, con una tasca sul retro dove mettere forbici e pinkeepers:My sweet friend Su has finally received her Winter Exchange!!! It has been so hard to find something special, this time, but at the end I've stitched a LHN ornament issued into the latest JCSO, making a flatfold with it and adding something useful, a pinwheel!!! I can say that is a kinda workstation, with a useful pocket on its back where to store the pinwheel, some scissors and anything a stitcher wants!!
Sulla "ruota di spilli" ho ricamato un piccolo motivo tratto dallo schema e ad esso ho aggiunto le iniziali di Su... e in più un sacco di spilli!!! :D
On the pinwheel I've stitched a little motif from the design and I've added Su's initials... plus a looooooooot of pins!!! :D
Ecco il retro: c'è la tasca con il fioco di neve e un piccolo cuoricino d'oro applicato. Visto come la ruota di spilli si infila bene??
Here's the back: there is the pocket I told with a snowflake and a little golden heart. Look how the pinwheel slides in it!

Ho aggiunto dei piccoli regalini al pacchetto, un fob fatto da me coordinato con la workstation, del cioccolato Lindt, un bel taglio di Lino Graziano e qualche matassina di Lino DMC... e anche una piccola candelina Pasquale!

I've added some goodies to the package, a little scissor fob made by me that matches the workstation's colors, a Lindt chocolate treat, a nice cut of the wonderful
Graziano Linen and some DMC Linen skein... and even a little Easter candle!

What a surprise!!!!!
This afternoon the postman has been so kind to finally give to me my package from UK, a package sent December 17 and delivered today!!! I was soooo worried... and Helen was sooooooooooo worried!!!!
Now I know why...
What I found into the package is AWESOME!!!!!
But let me introduce it to you step by step...
First of all the ensemble: nice goodies in nice colors, wich I love a lot, hoping to find very soon the way to
use them to create something unique:
But.... do you see that lovely small package on the left??? Well... inside that nice paper there was something that I love the most, lately; something I always look for here and there; something I have an obsession for and Helen nicely made for me using a pattern designed by the talented Mary Garry...
I'm wordless!!!The little pinkeep is adorable... so nice with those black pins and the shaded ribbon!
And the HORNBOOK!!! Oh, Helen, you made my day: you know how I love this wooden treats and you made this for me!!! This goes in my collection with a honor place!
But let me show them closely:
Helen is a perfect finisher: just look at the hornbook top and you'll see that she attached black beads to the orange ribbon bow... What a fine precious touch!!

Cosa dire... sono contentissima di aver conosciuto Su e Helen: hanno delle mani d'oro e sono sempre gentilissime con me. Come potete vedere, Helen mi ha davvero accontentata con questi hornbook e pinkeep! Peccato che l'attesa sia stata stressante: ma le Poste Italiane cosa stanno combinando??? Un mese dall'Inghilterra a qui, senza dogana e con canale diretto. Che vergogna... E per fortuna non è andato perso!!! La posta è un diritto, non è un gioco o un semplice servizio. Stiamo facendo la figura del paesucolo, quando invece noi cittadini siamo dei grandi lavoratori e pensatori. Che peccato...
Comunque un grazie ancora a Su ed Helen per le loro delizie!!!

Exchange! Una nuova tappa dello scambio con Su si è compiuta. Era il turno dell'autunno e non è stato facile per me trovare qualcosa di bello da usare.
Alla fine ho scelto un disegno con le ghiande dal titolo Acorns and Threads, di Carriage House Samplings, molto elegante: l'ho un po' cambiato, l'ho eseguito uno su uno su un morbido lino
Graziano e ne è uscito un grazioso porta filati! Su lo ha gradito e ne sono felice :D
Exchange! A new step for this exciting experience of the exchange for Su is done. It was the Autumn time and it's not been so easy
for me to find something special to stitch. Finally I've found a lovely desigh with acorns called "Acorns and Threads", by Carriage House Samplings, very elegant and perfect for this exchange:
I've changed it a bit, I've stitched it one over one on a soft piece of Graziano Linen and what I had is this cute thread holder... Su loved it and I'm
happy!!!
Dato che io amo alla follia i trifils e gli hornbook in genere, e dato che c'è qualcuno che quest'anno ne ha fatti di carini anche per la mostra, ho aggiunto al "libretto" anche questa ghianda da
me vestita per l'occasione. Marco e Marisa de Il Filo Magico sono

A very special day, today!There was a package waiting for me at the post office... and when I've seen the box and the sender address, my heart started to beat faster and faster....
MAMMA MIA!!!
I opened the box and "oooooooohhhhhh": I found many small packages inside!!!
My attention has gone directly to the looooooooovely card... handmade!!! I've read all
those nice words, handwritten in a perfect calligraphy, and I've smelled a good perfume coming from all those little packages inside the box...My Seasons Exchanger is one of the bloggers I read and admire the most: Helen!
In a jiffy I've opened all those packages, full of wonderful goodies, and surprise after surprise, I finally opened the "Golden Box" (intentionally I've left it as the last thing to open...:D) and my heart stopped!!! Inside, a gorgeous pillow with a Shepherd Bush design; I've "read" every stitch, smelling the pillow because of its loooooovely perfume, and I've been surprised by the gorgeous finishing technique, totally handmade with nun stitches and two colors backstitches!
THANKS HELEN!!!
I'm sooo happy that you are my seasonal partner: I love everything you stitch and I'm so lucky now that some of your wonderful creations will be mine!!! :D:D:D

No more waiting time.... here's the pictures!!!
As you can see, with the gorgeous pillow Helen sent a lovely pixie, a perfumed nice strawberry pincushion (soooooo nice!!!!!! I love it!!!), and a cute magnet with a perfect motto!
And more stash for me!!!! An enchanting, sparkling, wonderful cut of the Reflections Shimmering Aqua fabric by silkweaver; a piece of fabric with nice flowers; an incredible Blue Grey Carrie's Creation hand dyed floss skein and.... a pencil embossed with centimeters and inches!!!!!
Sooooooooooooooooooo happy I am!!!!!

Exchange... per me il primissimo!!! Tempo fa la dolce Becky mi ha invitata a far parte di uno scambio stagionale, e io ho accettato. Mi è stato dato un nome e un indirizzo a cui spedire qualcosa fatto da me che rappresentasse le stagioni, uno per ogni periodo. E chi mi era stato assegnato??? Nientemeno che Su, una persona dolcissima dal blog strepitoso e pieno di cose bellissime!!!
Così ho cercato qualcosa di speciale per l'estate, l'ho confezionato, l'ho spedito e... ho incrociato le dita sperando che le piacesse. Beh.... le è piaciuto eccome!!!! Mi ha riempita di complimenti e io sono al settimo cielo!!!
Ma ecco cosa le ho madato:
Exchange... for me the very first!!! Time ago, my sweet friend Becky asked me to join a Seasonal Exchange, and I said yes! I had my exchangers name, I had her adress and the mission to stitch something for her, a piece for each season. Guess her name... Su !!! She'a a lovely stitcher with a gorgeous blog fulfilled with magnificent works!!
So I've tried to find something special, I've stitched it, finished it, sent it... and I crossed my fingers hoping she love it!!! Well, she love it soooooo much!!! She told me wonderful words about it and now I'm in Heaven!!!
