Boxes and Tools

Si sanno quali sono le mie manie.... Hornbooks.... Liberty Hill.... Needlerolls.... Just Nan... Ma mi piacciono molto anche le scatole, e c'è qualcuno che ne disegna, dipinge e "veste" di bellissime. Si tratta di Ebeth Talledo di Dames of the Needle, da me amatissima, e come ricorderete stavo finendo la sue Eve's Box: finalmente l'ho finita!!!!
Ecco una carrellata di ciò che ho aggiunto alla collezione:

My passions are well known... Hornbooks.... Liberty Hill..... Needlerolls.... Just Nan.... But I deeply love boxes as well, and I know somebody that designs, paints and "dress" some very wonderful ones. I'm talking about Ebeth Talledo of Dames of the Needle (I love her creations), and as you know I was stitching her gorgeous Eve's Box: well... finally I've completed it! So look what I've added to my collection:

La scatola è davvero un gioiellino così finita. Come accessori, cuscino puntaspilli, scissor fob, il libretto porta aghi e la fascia interna alla scatola con taschina porta cera. Come tools, un contenitore per gli aghi e il panetto di cera per incerare i fili... Non era previsto il fondo, ma dato che avevo una stoffina del colore giusto, l'ho aggiunto tanto per dare un tocco in più. Spero piaccia anche a voi!!!

The box is a little jewel. Pincushion, scissor fob, needle book and the inside band with a small pocket for a waxer. Included there was some tools, like a wooden needle carrier and a thread waxer... The inside bottom wasn't supposed to be finished, but I've found a nice matching fabric so I've added it as a finishing touch. I hope you like it too!!!

Di scatole fatte da Ebeth ne ho ancora due.... da cominciare! Luna Solstice e la splendidissima Maritime Painted Box and Accessories, con sirena, balena e stella marina.... poco conosciuta ma bellissima!!!
Ma prima... prima c'è Halloween!!! E in settimana vi posterò una piccola cosa proprio dedicata alla festa dei fantasmi.... BOO!!!

I have two more Ebeth boxes with goodies... but I still have to start them! Luna Solstice and the gorgeous MaritimePainted Box and Accessories, with mermaid, whale and starfish.... not known but sooooooo beautiful!!
But.... first of all Halloween is coming!! So during the week I'll post a little treat so Halloweenish.... BOO!!!
