Here are my initials! They are finally appeared next to the crown, with a lot of flowers and two butterflies.

Le rose triplo colore sono tante e lunghe da fare, anche se l'effetto finale non riesce a rendere l'idea. Adesso tocca alla scritta, un bel motto per noi ricamatrici!

The roses are made with three different colors and they are a lot and very slow to stitch, even if the final effect is not so powerful. Now it's time to stitch the motto: a must for all of us stitchers!!!

Oggi il mio piccolo ometto compie 7 anni!

Ho terminato il fronte del nuovo progetto "pinkeep fever" con disegno Brightneedle (oui, chère Fab... J'aime Brightneedle aussi comme toi!! : * ) che è proprio piiiiiiiccolo:

I've finished the front side of my new pinkeep (I'm veeeeeeery sick... I've got the "pinkeepitis" ;D) using a Brightneedle design, a very small Brightneedle design:

Pochi centimetri di ricamo... speriamo venga bene!!

 Ed ho anche terminato un secondo cuscinetto per la mostra, sempre rivisitando un Lizzie Kate:

Piccolo aggiornamento anche della pochette QOTN: finalmente ho la corona!!! Adesso sono la regina...

Little progress on the QOTN project: now I have my crown!!! Now I'm The Queen...

La "gemma" in alto e le altre cinque in basso sono fatte con punto smyrna a due fili: strano! Perchè lo smyrna a due fili non dà l'effetto giusto e alla fine sembra semplice punto croce. Chissà il perchè di questa scelta....

The "gem" on the crown top and the other five on the bottom are made with smyrna stitches using two silk strands: sooooo unusual! Usually smyrna stitches are made using one strand, because two strands give a normal cross stitch effect. Who knows why Nan did it with two??

Cominciamo dagli arrivi... Oggi finalmente sono arrivati i kit della Hillside Samplings con gli accessori in legno dipinti a mano!!!!  Mamma mia che beeeeeeelli: li credevo diversi, più "miseri" in dimensioni; invece sono davvero una sorpresa, molto belli e davvero curati nei minimi particolari:

Let's start with new stash arrivals... Today I've finally received two Hillside Samplings kits, wooden handpainted tools included!!! Oh my, they are sooooo beautiful: I though they were less than they appeared online: wrong!!! They are a real surprise, very nice and well and finely made:

Sono scatola e hornbook, entrambi numerati sul retro (solo 1000 esempleri al mondo!!! :-D); per la scatola c'è da realizzare un carinissimo porta aghi mentre l'hornbook è da decorare sul retro con un sampler in "Black Crow" della Sampler Thread. Come si fa a non fare un sorriso da orecchio ad orecchio davanti a cose del genere????

Box and Hornbook, both numbered on their backs (only 1000 in the whole world!!!!); with the box comes a kit for a cute little needlebook, heartshaped, while the hornook have to be decorated with a nice angel sampler stitched with special stitches and using "Black Crow" color by Sampler Thread. When I opened the box with them I was so happy...

Avanzamento Queen of the Needle... Ho finito la prima parte, in un tripudio di punti speciali per realizzare il cestino di fiori:

Ultima cosa, un piccolo ricamino per la mostra di fine Novembre: Lizzie Kate rivisitato nei colori per avere un aspetto più brillante

Last little thing, this small tuck pillow for the November showcase: I used a LK pattern but I've modified just some colors to give to my stitched piece a more brilliant look

Per Raffa: gli Hillside hanno due tipi di "finitura" diversa. L'hornbook infati è da completare ricamando un samplerino in nero da attaccare sul retro di esso, mentre la scatola non è da abbellire ulteriormente: il kit compreso infatti serve per realizzare un portaaghi ricamato a forma di cuore.

Io li ho presi da The Silver Needle, che è l'unico negozio che li ha, ma si possono ordinare anche direttamente alla Hillside... ;D

Come si può notare, sulla destra ho aggiunto una piccola lista di chi sta realizzando il kit "Queen of the Needle" kit e ha foto dei progressi sul proprio blog: spero di ingrandire la lista con altre "Queens". Anzi, chiunque lo stia realizzando e capita qui, me lo dica e io aggiungerò volentieri l'indirizzo del blog!

As you can notice, on the left there is a little (right now...) list of people who's stitching the "Queen of the Needle" kit and has on the blog nice pictures of  progress: I hope that my list will be soon bigger, with more "Queens" on it! So anybody who's stitching it and comes here for a peek, please leave a comment so I will be happy to add the blog to my list!

Sto tentando di mettere insiame un altro piccolo pikeep, su disegno Brightneedle

Uno su uno e a doppia faccia. Peccato che i colori non corrispondano granchè a quelli della foto sullo schema: è un classico di Brightneedle e anche una pecca. Loro usano Anchor come filati (madonnina... certo che sono strani!! In USA è poco diffusa come marca... fanno salti mortali per trovarla!) ma suggeriscono anche i DMC corrispondenti.... seeeeee, corrispondenti secondo loro! La prossima volta prenderò Anchor e seguirò alla lettera la loro prima versione, anche se non amo particolarmente tale filato.

 Visto in giro.... ho deciso di fare anche io l'oroscopo celtico e questo è il risultato:
