Piccolo tuffo in una atmosfera a me molto cara: chi mi conosce sa che io ho una vera mania per il natale; sarà per il brutto tempo, sarà per la voglia di far qualcosa di piccolo, veloce ma nello stesso tempo elegante e prezioso, i ricami fatti da me in questa settimana sono dedicati a tre graziosi ornamenti della Olde Colonial...
Little dive into a feeling that I'm very devoted to: who knows me knows also that I love maniacally everything Christmas related; because of the rain and the cold weather that keep us back into wintertime and because I was in the right mood for something quick to stitch but elegant and precious too, my weekly stitches have been to complete and finish three wonderful Olde Colonial ornaments...
Molto piccoli... molto eloci da eseguire... fatti uno su uno e poi assemblati con delle piccole graziose cornicette. Saranno bellissimi sul mio albero di Natale!
Very small... very quick... stitched one over one and then assembled with tiny gracious frames. They will look great on my Christmas tree!

Io c'ero!!!! Eh si, come mancare ad una mostra dedicata al mio hobby??? Insieme a Nicoletta e Paola de Le Mani che Ricamano e alla sempre super Tiziana abbiamo fatto visita a "I colori del ricamo", expo organizzata da Chicca, Simona e Levina. Che dire... l'ambiente in cui è stata allestita la mostra era una favola (mattoni a vista, archi, legii in ferro battuto... perfino una fontana a specchio "a parete"!!!) ed ha dato giusto risalto ai lavori delle partecipanti. C'erano Bent Creek, Lizzie Kate, erbari vari, gatti vari, art postale... per non parlare del superbo Vespucci di Simona "Queenvictoria" e delle scatoline agghindate da Simona con quattro strepitosi minisampler stagionali della Douglas. Menzione merita il Dimensions delle quattro stagioni "To everything there is a season": che pazienza fare una meraviglia del genere!
Insomma, tutte quelle cose che fanno gola alle cross stitchers!

Grazie a tutte per i gentili e "troppobuoni" commenti al mio banalissimo pinkeep: siete state tutte davvero molto carine!
Finalmente però ho qualcosa da mostrare che davvero mi piace. Si tratta dell'ultimo topiary di Hillside Samplings, che va a completare la minicollezione.

Finally I have something to show that worths and that I really like: it's the fourth and last topiary I owe, designed by Hillside Samplings. This is the last piece of my little collection and I hope that Lesley Rudnicki will release more of them, because they are quick to stitch, easy to assemble and very nice to show!!!
Un po' troppo nero? Forse.... ma quel fiocchetto rosso e la coccinella sono graziosissimi!!!
A little too black? Maybe... but the red ribbon/bow and the cute little ladybug make it less serious and more appealing...

Piccolo aggiornamento del blog: sto lavorando, e non solo a puntocroce, ovvio!!! Quindi per ora quel che posso mostrare è questo pinkeep ottenuto da un LHN-Crescent Colors kit. Non è certo un capolavoro, anzi. Non ne sono neanche troppo soddisfatta. Confesso che il disegno che mi sembrava carino sulla carta una volta fatto non mi è più piaciuto... Mah...
Little blog post: I'm working and not only cross stitching, ...! So I can just show you this pinkeep, born from a design by LHN-Crescent Colours threads kit, that it's not at all a masterpiece! I don't like it at all... I have to find another way to finish it, I think. It was supposed to be a nice design, but once finished I've changed my mind: from there my frustration to find out how to give it a good look... But I failed... :o(

Non è ancora finito, ma... già è un piccolo tesoro! Si tratta del mio primo Merry Cox, fatto grazie all'aiuto di alcune amiche, come avevo già raccontato, e già quasi tutto assemblato. Mi manca il cuscinetto, ma devo studiarmelo un po' per farlo come dico io.
It's not completed, not yet, but... it's a little treasure! It's my first Merry Cox, project I made thanks to my sweet friends as I've told you before, and it's almost done. I still have to finish the pincushion: I have to figure out how to finish/assemble it, to complete it at its best and how Merry completed it!
Aggiungo qualche particolare, soprattutto della scatolina a tubo che è un prezioso contenitore
I add some picture of each set component, especially of the little treasured box: it has been assembled with a postcard inside, sent me from USA from a dearest friend of mine...
Per vedere meglio l'effetto della scatolina, ecco una foto molto più luminosa...

Ancora uno... ho terminato il dolcissimo piccolo ABC Hornbook de La Silphide Toquèe e l'ho aggiunto alla mia piccola e solo agli inizi collezione di Hornbooks. Mi sembrava un po' spoglio, così come era concepito, così ho aggiunto delle piccole variazioni: ho aggiunto un cordoncino intorno al ricamo montato e una nappina di completamento all'hornbook.
One more... I've just finished my little sweet ABC Hornbook by La Silphide Toquèe and I've added it to my little "just started" hornbooks collection. It was a little naked to me, so I've added some finishing accent: some cording around the stitched piece and a nice variegated tassel to the hornbook.
Ed ecco la mia collezione con il suo nuovo "membro" :D
